These Terms & Conditions govern the use of the Teerex Blinds & Shutters website and the supply of products and services by Teerex Blinds & Shutters (“Teerex”, “we”, “our”, or “us”). By accessing our website, requesting a quotation, placing an order, or engaging our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.
1. Quotations
- All quotations are provided free of charge and without obligation unless otherwise stated.
- Quotations are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless otherwise specified.
- Prices are based on the information available at the time of quoting.
- Final pricing may change if measurements, product selections, installation requirements, site conditions, or project specifications differ from those originally provided.
2. Orders
- An order is confirmed once the customer accepts the quotation and any required deposit has been received.
- Once manufacturing has commenced, custom-made products cannot generally be cancelled or amended.
- Any requested changes after production has started may incur additional charges.
3. Deposits and Payments
- A 30% deposit is required before manufacturing commences unless otherwise agreed in writing.
- The remaining balance is payable before or upon installation unless alternative payment terms have been agreed.
- Failure to make payment may delay manufacturing, delivery, or installation.
- We reserve the right to charge reasonable recovery costs on overdue accounts where permitted by law.
4. Measurements
Professional site measurements are recommended to ensure an accurate fit.
Where customers provide their own measurements:
- Teerex manufactures products strictly according to the measurements supplied.
- The customer accepts full responsibility for the accuracy of those measurements.
- Teerex is not responsible for manufacturing errors arising from incorrect customer-supplied measurements, including any replacement or installation costs.
5. Manufacturing
All blinds, shutters, curtains and related products are custom manufactured specifically for each order.
Customers acknowledge that:
- Minor manufacturing tolerances are normal.
- Fabric colours, paint finishes and materials may vary slightly from samples due to lighting, manufacturing processes or dye batches.
- Product images displayed on the website are for illustration purposes only.
6. Installation
- Installation dates are estimates only.
- While every effort is made to meet scheduled dates, delays may occur due to weather conditions, supplier delays, manufacturing issues, access restrictions or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
- Customers are responsible for ensuring safe and unobstructed access to the installation area.
- Furniture, fragile items and valuables should be moved away from installation areas before our installers arrive.
7. Customer Responsibilities
The customer agrees to:
- Provide accurate information relating to the project.
- Ensure safe access to the property.
- Obtain any landlord, body corporate or council approvals where required.
- Ensure pets and children are kept clear of installation areas.
- Inspect the completed installation and notify Teerex promptly of any concerns.
8. Ownership of Goods
Ownership of all goods supplied by Teerex remains with Teerex until full payment has been received.
Until ownership passes to the customer, Teerex reserves all legal rights available to recover unpaid goods where permitted by law.
9. Warranty
Our products are covered by applicable manufacturer warranties together with our workmanship guarantee where applicable.
Warranty coverage does not extend to damage resulting from:
- misuse or abuse;
- accidental damage;
- incorrect cleaning or maintenance;
- unauthorised repairs or alterations;
- improper operation;
- normal wear and tear;
- environmental conditions beyond normal residential use.
Warranty periods may differ depending on the product supplied.
10. Returns and Cancellations
As our products are custom manufactured to each customer’s specifications:
- Change-of-mind cancellations are generally not accepted once production has commenced.
- Returns for custom-made products are not accepted except where required by Australian Consumer Law.
- Any approved cancellation prior to manufacture may be subject to reasonable administrative costs.
11. Australian Consumer Law
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes, restricts or modifies any rights or remedies available under the Australian Consumer Law.
Where our goods or services come with guarantees that cannot legally be excluded, those guarantees continue to apply.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- Teerex is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from the use of our products or services.
- We are not responsible for delays caused by events beyond our reasonable control.
- Our liability is limited to the repair, replacement or refund of goods or services where required by law.
13. Force Majeure
Teerex will not be liable for any failure or delay in performing its obligations where such delay results from events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to:
- natural disasters;
- severe weather;
- supplier shortages;
- transport disruptions;
- industrial action;
- government restrictions;
- pandemics or other emergencies.
14. Intellectual Property
All content on this website, including text, photographs, graphics, logos, branding, designs and other materials, is the property of Teerex Blinds & Shutters unless otherwise stated.
No material may be copied, reproduced, distributed or used without prior written permission.
15. Website Use
Users agree not to:
- misuse the website;
- attempt unauthorised access to our systems;
- upload malicious software;
- interfere with the operation or security of the website.
